Happy Chinese New Year-Year of the Dragon

Happy Chinese New Year from Acupuncture Alternatives! 2011 is gone and along with it goes the Year of the Rabbit. Coming to visit us all on January 23rd is the Year of the Dragon. This new Chinese New Year begins on January 23, 2012 and ends on February 9, 2013. (The last time we all saw a Year of the Dragon was 2000.)

In Chinese Zodiac people born under each sign tend to share certain characteristics. “Dragon people” are often innovative, enterprising, self-assured, brave, passionate, imaginative, conceited, quick-tempered and considered to be “free spirits”.  Restrictions that pose barriers can tend to blow out their creative spark. They tend to be confident and fearless in the face of challenge and they are usually successful.

“Dragon people” find pleasure in helping others, but they may find it difficult to accept the same kind of help from others. While having many friends, they can be rather solitary at heart. Too much enthusiasm can leave them tired and unfulfilled.

“Dragon people” may tend to burn the candle at both ends. They are a Zodiac sign that can suffer bad health as a result of lots of stress. They may be plagued with tension headaches, depression and hypertension.

Meditation, Tai Chi or Yoga are good tools for them. They tend to enjoy outdoor activities rather than staying at home.

“Dragon people” usually make good money and also like to spend money. They are charitable to themselves as well as with others.

Some Famous Dragon People: Calista Flockhart, Colin Farrell, Courtney Cox, Courtney Love, Dinah Shore, Isabella Rossellini, Julia Ormond, Juliette Binoche, Reese Witherspoon, Roseanne Barr, Sandra Bullock, and Wynonna Judd.

If you are a “Dragon Person” and find you suffer from tension headaches, depression, stress and hypertension, call us at Acupuncture Alternatives and see how Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs may be able to help you feel better – 480-671 5178.

Happy Chinese New Year – 2012!
All the best for the coming year from Acupuncture Alternatives.

(Note – you do not need to be a “Dragon person” to benefit from Acupuncture – call us to help you with your health needs – regardless of the Chinese “sign” you were born under. )
