Jim Burnis is a licensed Acupuncturist with a practice that serves Gold Canyon and the East Phoenix Arizona Valley

Acupuncture Alternatives LLC, is located a serene desert setting in Gold Canyon Arizona. The clinic is owned by Jim Burnis, MS, Dipl. Ac. who is a licensed Acupuncturist. His practice and clinic serves Gold Canyon and the entire East Phoenix Arizona Valley.

Jim earned his Masters of Science Degree in Acupuncture from The Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture, an accredited four-year graduate program in Phoenix, Arizona.

He received his Diplomate in Acupuncture from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and completed a post-graduate internship at the Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Chengdu, China.

He has also received Certificate of Completion, Advanced Herbalist Training from Institute of Chinese Herbology which is located in Concord, California. Jim’s undergraduate work includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University and technical training in Diagnostic Imaging.

Payment

Payment policy as of July 1, 2015
At Acupuncture Alternatives payment for services can be made with cash, your personal check, or any major credit card such as Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. The fee for your initial appointment is $105.00; this is a 90 minute comprehensive review of your current concern(s) in addition to reviewing any past pertinent health history.  Follow up appointments are $70.00; these appointments are 45-60 minutes depending on complexity.  With certain problem specific complaints such as tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, or knee pain, we can often eliminate the initial comprehensive review. The fee for herbals begins at $25.00.

More and more insurance companies are covering reimbursement for Acupuncture treatment. Check with your insurance provider for your plan details. When talking with your insurance representative ask about applicable co-pays, plan deductibles, and which providers you can use. With most insurance claims a “superbill” is used. This provides any insurance reimbursement directly to you.
